¿Qué vas a lograr? • Usar estructuras como *it is said that* e *is believed to* para reportar información con precisión.

Errores comunes para hispanohablantes: • No digas *"It is said that the company complies"* si quieres sonar formal; prefiere *"The company is said to comply"* (más directo y elegante). • Recuerda que comply siempre va con with: *"The firm complies with the regulation"*, nunca *"complies the regulation"*. Conecta con tu realidad Piensa en noticias que hayas leído sobre empresas: *"The CEO is reported to have resigned"* o *"The new policy is said to affect all employees"*. Cada vez que veas is said to, is believed to, is reported to o is allegedly en un artículo, es el mismo patrón que estás practicando.

Enfoque gramaticalReporting Passive: It Is Said That / He Is Believed To
GRAMÁTICA

Pasiva de reporte: it is said that / he is believed to

Reporting Passive: it is said that / he is believed toIt + passive verb + that + clause | Subject + passive verb + to-infinitive

It + passive verb + that + clause — impersonal y neutral. - *It is said that the board will comply with the new regulation.* - *It is reported that the CEO denied the allegations.* 2. - *The board is believed to enforce the policy strictly.* - *The company is reported to comply voluntarily.* Verbos clave para esta construcción: said, believed, reported, alleged, confirmed, announced.

EstructuraEjemploUso
It + is said/reported/believed + that + clauseIt is said that the board will comply.Información impersonal, sin fuente específica.
Subject + is believed/reported/alleged + to-infinitiveThe CEO is believed to enforce the policy.Foco en la persona o entidad.
Subject + is said + to have + past participleThe manager is said to have upheld standards.Acción pasada reportada.

It is said that the board will comply with the new regulation by the end of the quarter.

The CEO is believed to enforce the policy strictly, and reportedly, the legal team has confirmed the new deadlines.

Diferencia clave: It is said that... es impersonal y neutral; He is said to... pone el foco en la persona.
*The board is said to comply* (no *is said to complied*).
Cuidado con el tiempo verbal. Para acciones pasadas, usa to have + past participle: *The manager is said to have upheld standards.* No digas *is said to upheld*.
