CONTEXTO

Reporting on environmental policies
Colócalos antes del verbo: *The company reportedly reduced emissions*. Si quieres sonar más formal, usa it is widely believed that (se cree ampliamente que) al inicio de la frase.
Errores comunes
Enfoque gramaticalDistancing: Reportedly, Allegedly, It Is Widely Believed That
GRAMÁTICA
Lenguaje de distanciamiento: reportedly, allegedly, it is widely believed that
Distancing Language: reportedly, allegedly, it is widely believed thatSubject + to be + reportedly/allegedly + complement | It is widely believed that + clause
- *The new policy is reportedly very popular.*
- *The company allegedly broke the regulation.*
3. It is widely believed that (se cree ampliamente que): se usa para hablar de una opinión generalizada.
- *It is widely believed that climate change is a big challenge.*
Posición en la oración:
• Los adverbios (reportedly, allegedly) suelen ir después del verbo *to be* o antes del verbo principal.
• La frase *It is widely believed that* va al inicio de la oración, seguida de una cláusula completa.
The government's new policy on pollution is reportedly very popular with the public.
It is widely believed that climate change is the biggest challenge of our generation.
Siempre van acompañados de un verbo principal, como *is* o *will be*.
Error común: No digas *It is reportedly that...*. La estructura correcta es *It is reported that...* o simplemente *Subject + is reportedly + complement*.
