Repaso: imperativos, preguntas y there is/are
Review: Imperatives, Questions, and There is/areImperative: Verb + complement | Question: (Question word) + to be/do + subject + ...? | There is/are: There + is/are + noun + placeEn esta lección repasamos tres estructuras que ya conoces y que usamos todos los días para comprar, pedir comida y dar direcciones. 1. Imperativos para dar órdenes o instrucciones: Turn left. (Gira a la izquierda). 2. Preguntas con *to be* y *do* para pedir información: Is there a restaurant near here? (¿Hay un restaurante cerca de aquí?). 3. There is / There are para decir que algo existe: There is a menu on the table. (Hay un menú sobre la mesa). Estas estructuras son la base de conversaciones simples. Al combinarlas, puedes preguntar por un lugar, pedir algo y dar indicaciones. ¡Practiquemos juntos!
| Forma | Uso | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| There is | Singular | There is a menu. |
| There are | Plural | There are two shops. |
| Is there...? | Pregunta singular | Is there a restaurant? |
| Are there...? | Pregunta plural | Are there any menus? |
Is there a restaurant near here?¿Hay un restaurante cerca de aquí?
Turn left at the shop, please.Gira a la izquierda en la tienda, por favor.
There is se usa con singular (una cosa) y There are con plural (varias cosas). Ejemplo: There is a menu vs. There are two menus.
En preguntas, el orden cambia: Is there...? no There is...?. Ejemplo: Is there a restaurant? (correcto) vs. There is a restaurant? (incorrecto).
