EXPLICACIÓN
Teoría y puntos clave
La preposicion "by" con transporte
Usamos by para decir COMO viajamos: by car, by bus, by train. ¡Ojo! No decimos "by the car" ni "by a bus" — sin articulo. Es un error muy comun en hispanohablantes. Para caminar, usamos on foot, no "by foot".
Truco para recordar
Piensa en la frase "I go to work by..." como una formula fija: primero el verbo go, luego el lugar (work, school), y al final el medio con by. Asi suenas natural desde el principio. ¡Practica con tu propio camino al trabajo o a la escuela!
Enfoque gramaticalPrepositions: By + Transport
GRAMÁTICA
Preposición "by" con medios de transporte
Preposition "by" with transportSubject + verb + by + transport
En inglés, para decir cómo viajas, usamos la preposición by + el medio de transporte, sin artículo (sin "a", "an" o "the").
• by car = en coche
• by bus = en autobús
• by train = en tren
• by taxi = en taxi
• by bicycle = en bicicleta
Ejemplo: *I go to work by bus.* = Voy al trabajo en autobús.
Importante: No decimos "by the bus" ni "by a car". La estructura es siempre by + transporte.
Transporte
Ejemplo
by car
I go to work by car.
by bus
She goes to school by bus.
by train
He travels by train.
by taxi
We go by taxi.
by bicycle
They go by bicycle.
I go to work by bus.Voy al trabajo en autobús.
She drives her car to the office.Ella conduce su coche a la oficina.
No uses artículo después de "by": decimos *by bus*, *by car*, *by train*. Nunca *by the bus* ni *by a car*.
Excepción: con "on foot" (a pie) no usamos "by". Decimos *I go to work on foot*, no *by foot*.
