Reporting what research and studies claim
• It is said that... (Se dice que...)
• It is believed that...

Cuando leas o escuches "It is said that..." o "It is believed that...", piensa en español como "Se dice que..." o "Se cree que...".
Errores comunes y trucos
• No digas "People say that..." en un texto académico. Suena informal. Usa el pasivo impersonal: "It is said that...".
• Cuidado con el verbo: después de "It is said that..." va una oración completa con sujeto y verbo conjugado. Ejemplo: "It is said that the early results are positive."
• Truco de memoria: "It is believed" = "Se cree".
Enfoque gramaticalImpersonal Passive: It Is Said That, It Is Believed That
GRAMÁTICA
Pasiva impersonal: it is said that, it is believed that
Impersonal passive: it is said that, it is believed thatIt + is + past participle (said/believed) + that + clause
Estructura:
It + is + participio pasado (said, believed) + that + oración
Ejemplos:
• It is said that the early results show a clear trend.
• It is believed that the hypothesis is correct.
Variantes:
• It is reported that... = Se reporta que...
• It is expected that... = Se espera que...
• It is considered that... = Se considera que...
En contexto académico:
• It is believed that the concept of sustainability is essential for future research.
Forma
Uso
Ejemplo
It is said that...
Reportar algo que la gente dice
It is said that the study is important.
It is believed that...
Reportar una creencia general
It is believed that the trend will continue.
It is reported that...
Reportar información de una fuente
It is reported that the analysis is complete.
It is expected that...
Reportar una expectativa
It is expected that the results will be clear.
It is said that he left early.Se dice que él se fue temprano.
It is believed that the early results of the study show a clear trend in the economy.
En lugar de decir *"People say that..."*, di *"It is said that..."*.
No digas *"It is eaten that..."*. Solo funciona con verbos como *said*, *believed*, *reported*, *expected*, *considered*.
Common error: No olvides el *that* después del participio. *"It is said the study is important"* es incorrecto. Siempre usa *"It is said that the study is important"*.
