¿Qué vas a lograr?
• Describir acciones que ocurren ahora.
• Usar el verbo *to be* + verbo con *-ing*.
Ejemplo: *I am cooking now* (estoy cocinando ahora).
No digas *I am wanting a coffee*; di *I want a coffee*.
She is cooking*, *He is raising his hand*, *I am turning off the light*. Así conectas la gramática con tu día.
Enfoque gramaticalPresent Continuous: Affirmative For Current Actions
GRAMÁTICA
Presente continuo: afirmativo para acciones actuales
Present Continuous: Affirmative for Current ActionsSubject + to be (am/is/are) + verb-ing + complement
Estructura:
• I am + verbo-ing → *I am cooking.*
• He/She/It is + verbo-ing → *She is raising her hand.*
• You/We/They are + verbo-ing → *We are continuing our walk.*
• attach → attaching
• continue → continuing
• raise → raising
Ejemplo: *I'm cooking now, but I will continue after this call.*
Pronombre
To be
Verbo + -ing
Ejemplo
I
am
cooking
I am cooking now.
You
are
continuing
You are continuing your walk.
He/She/It
is
raising
She is raising her hand.
We
are
attaching
We are attaching the photo.
They
are
turning off
They are turning off the light.
I'm cooking now, but I will continue after this call.
She is raising her hand to ask a question in class.
Contracciones: en conversación usamos *I'm*, *he's*, *she's*, *we're*, *they're*. Son más naturales que la forma completa.
No olvides el verbo to be. En español decimos *"cocinando ahora"* sin verbo auxiliar, pero en inglés SIEMPRE necesitas *am/is/are*: *I am cooking*, no *I cooking*.
